It's no accident that coffee from Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras are now winning prizes at international auctions, and winning rave reviews on coffee lovers forums.

Now we challenge you to add to the mix the great coffees from Salvador and Nicaragua and yes - the now competitive great coffee from Belize.

At Butterflies Coffee Shop, located in the grounds of Almond Beach, on the shores of the Caribbean Sea in Hopkins Belize, you can spend your seven day vacation, not only enjoying all the natural wonders of Belize, but also blind test tasting the seven great coffee countries of Central America.

Or you can quickly decide which is your favorite and enjoy the sublime experience of a stroll along the beach as the sun comes up, and then, lured by the smell of fresh coffee roasting, start the day with an espresso from Nicaragua, a Latte from Guatemala, or a Capuccino from Belize!

We have sourced our coffee from our own preferred, single source plantation in each of the seven Central American countries: El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Belize. While you sip your coffee you can read the history of each producer, and see on our map where they are located.

Each plantation has a history of families working to grow the finest shade grown coffee under the forest canopy, often over as many as 120 years, sometimes against not only climate challenges, but also political upheaval.

We are proud to showcase their products and look forward to sharing them with you during your stay at Almond Beach Belize.

By the way - we also have great fruit smoothies, milk shakes made with the fabulous real cream ice-cream made by the Mennonite families in Belize, chocolate made by chocolate grown locally in Belize, and tea from around the world.
