In today’s connected world we now know that it is the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, and the second longest in the world. Nearly 260km long, it runs all along the coast of Belize and provides superb snorkeling inside the reef and amazing scuba diving in the deep blue outer side of the reef. The shallow inner reef offers the opportunity for both those snorkeling for the first time, and those who snorkel as a way of life, a great diversity of experience. First timers will be shown the wonders of the reef by our experienced guides who will point out colorful tropical fish of all sizes and types and beautiful coral formations. Even with a disposable camera you can take pictures of large rays, groupers, barracuda, and nurse sharks ,(a timid and unaggressive shark species). Take with you a chart from our store which lists the amazing number of different fish species and join the league of “fish spotters”. Scuba divers have a choice of locations to visit and come back with those “once in a life-time” pictures and stories to take home. If scuba diving is something you have always wanted to try our experienced team will prepare you for the trip and accompany you on your dive. You can also consider making this the year you obtain PADI certification, at an extra cost, from our experienced dive shop team. By the way we chose our location at Almond Beach so we were near to a less-busy area of the reef and one that is therefore still pristine and natural.
