Tour Itinerary

After breakfast you will be transported approx. 45 minutes to Caves Branch Jungle Lodge. From here we embark on the Caves Branch River where you will tube into the entrance of a vast underground cave system to explore ancient Mayan ceremonial centers where we will view pottery, artifacts, altars, obsidian blood letting blades, jade and the actual footprints of Shaman priests that date back to 400 A.D. Overhead you will see massive stalagmites and likely view bats who make these caves their home.

Float back in time as your guides shares with you the history of the caves and the Mayan world. Once well inside the cave your guides will prepare a delicious picnic lunch. Eating your lunch by headlight to the sounds of the underground caves while chatting with your fellow adventurers will be an experience you will not soon forget!
