THE YOGA VACATION YOU WILL NEVER FORGET
Sign up for December and January
Yoga at our wonderful beachfront location, and at our secluded Iguana Lodge on a quiet jungle river, is something you will never forget.
Our Yoga vacation is uniquely integrated in to the land and culture of Belize
You will start the day with the sun rising above the Caribbean Sea, timing your breathing to the gentle splash of the waves as they arrive from far off shores. You will end your afternoon with the light fading over a quiet jungle river, watching the ripples that might signal a manatee and baby are swiming slowly upstream.
Our Yoga retreat is led by Dorman Balthazar, who was born in Belize
before relocating as a child to California where he competed as a cross country cyclist and trained and practiced for ten years as a personal trainer, and yoga and meditation guide.
Dorman, and his wife Shantal, are now located back in Belize and they will guide you through a journey within yourself to reconnect with the essence of who you are, reducing stress and tension. Our special Yoga experience combines many forms of Yoga with a practice that explores the creative, playful and meditative aspects of yoga, with twice daily sessions in beautiful locations.
You will stay at the beach at our wonderful Almond
Beach Resort eating at our Jaguar Reef restaurant where you will choose from an extensive menu of fruits, salads, local specialities, and fresh seafood.
During your Yoga vacation you will also have the most amazing opportunities to explore our beautiful natural country of Belize. Would you care to explore the wonderful, underworld of our nearby reef and marvel at the brilliantly colored fish and coral structures.
Or perhaps you would like to take a horseback ride through the jungle, a river tube float through the Jaguar Preserve, an exciting hike in the jungle, or sea
kayak or sail.
We are located in an areas of interesting culture with the local village of Hopkins
with its majority popularion of Garifuna descent; Sittee River with descendants of a Creole background, and the nearby Mayan Center with Mayan villagers from all three Mayan language groups.
So opportunities exist to visit the villages and also visit ancient Mayan archeological sites, and today's Mayan Villages. You will see this cultural diversity in our own employees and will enjoy talking to them about their history, and also that of the different Hispanic cultures found in Belize.
Or maybe you just want to sit by a palm tree, read a book, and take an occasional swim in the ocean or our Tiki Pool, and maybe swim up to our Tiki Bar for a refreshing drink.
And don't forget that if you want to bring a partner with you who is not in to Yoga they can have a wonderful time fishing, going on our adventure trips, achieving that life time ambition to become scuba certified, or having a personal training jog each day along the beach!
